Welcome to Meare Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of eleven Parish Councillors, all elected volunteers who meet on the 3rd Monday of every month (except August and December) and have various dedicated areas of interest. Representatives from Somerset County Councillors are invited to attend meetings, as are local community bodies where necessary. The Parish Clerk also serves as the Responsible Financial Officer and helps oversee the day to day operations and finances of the Parish Council, so is usually the first point of contact for most enquiries. There is always an allocation of a ten minute slot at the start of the meeting for anyone wishing to speak to the Parish Council.
In order to book a speaking slot you must notify the Clerk to the Council.
