Little Starlings is a preschool, after school and holiday provision situated within the grounds of Meare Village Primary School. We offer childcare places for children aged between 2 and 12 years, opening from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
The preschool’s curriculum is based on a combination of ‘The Curiosity Approach’ and ‘In The Moment Planning’. This means that we are very child centred, taking into account what our children need and want on a day to day basis as well as seeing the bigger picture. At Little Starlings, we provide a high standard of care and educational activities. We also seek to maintain a high staff to child ratio enabling us to create the best experience possible for the children in our care.
Little Starlings’ after school and holiday provision is open to all school aged children up to the age of 12 years. We provide a variety of activities including gardening, cooking, forest school, crafts and homework support. We welcome children from all schools to join us in the holidays.
Breakfast, morning and afternoon snacks, a 2 course hot meal and a light supper are all provided by us for all children in attendance.
