Heading south towards Ashcott lies the Railway Inn which is located in a place known as Ashcott Corner. The Meare Parish boundary goes up to the old railway line and the pub sits just inside next to where the old Ashcott Railway Sation used to be.
The pub hosts many live bands and events including the annual steam engine rally known as the ‘Rev Up’.
